A Warrior from the frozen wastes of Icelvik. Abe is a gentle giant, who follows where his conscience leads.

Ilias (The Argus Ilias)
A follower of Ain the God of Lightning, Ilias is a member of the secretive Arguy, an order of sorcerers who have sacrificed their previous lives and sworn themselves to the service of Sorcery itself. He travels the empire at the god’s behest.

Roche (Emanuelle Roche)
A man of the conquered Kingdom of Mercina. Travelling the empire and bringing in his wake a trail of chaos deep enough to drown in.

Hunter
A sinister creature that takes the form of a black stallion. He serves an unknown master, and may or may not be possessed by a demonic entity.

Sarah-Ellen (Sarah-Ellen Carpenter)
A seemingly simple peasant girl, hiding a dangerous secret. Sarah-Ellen was born a sorcerer in a land that forbids women from practising the art. Though she hates her constraints Sarah-Ellen wishes to live a simple life with the man she loves. When her sister is attacked, she defends her. In doing so she takes a life, triggering a deadly curse that will consume her.

Amelia (Amelia Carpenter, Amelia Therion, Amree Therion)
A seemingly simple mother and wife, Amelia has been forced to flee as many lives as she has lived. When she found love and sanctuary at the edge of The Wilds, she foreswore her sorcery. Her plan was to live a simple life, raising her children and tinkering with her inventions, but destiny had other plans for the last of the Therion line.

Willem (Willem Carpenter)
The bastard son of a Carpenter’s daughter, Willem has lived his whole life on the edge of the Wilds. He is bound by birth and oath to hold its border, but his love for his wife Amelia and two daughters, keeps him in the lands of men.

Jack (Jack Smith)
The oldest son of Riverfowl’s blacksmith. He is betrothed to Sarah-Ellen. Jack is a good man, doing the best to keep the peace between his cruel father and his spiteful brother. All he wants is a happy life with the woman he loves.

Thom (Thom Smith)
The second son of Riverfowl’s blacksmith. Thom is angry at the world. He hates his father and is spiteful to everyone around him, disillusioned by the evil in his family he would rather make an enemy than risk a friendship.

Jonas (Jonas Smith)
The blacksmith of Riverfowl, he is father to four sons, and husband to Mildred Smith. Jonas, is held in the highest esteem for his decency and unspoken leadership of the town. But beneath the veneer of civility, he has a cruel streak to him.

Father Coat
A preacher sent from the Temple of Ardinium to shepherd the town, Father Coat has lived in Riverfowl for many years. He is a kind man with a love for music and a talent for brewing cider.

Raynar (The Spirit of the Wilds, The Banished God)
Banished long ago to the Wilds, Raynar is bound to its ground. He dwells there among beasts and monsters of his own creation, plotting his revenge against those that exiled him.
Raynar is one of the gods that came to be.

The High Priest (The Spirit of Belief)
A divine representative of the All-Father himself, the high priest is possessed by the Spirit of Belief. He has left the temple of Ardinium for the first time in centuries and is on a crusade to eradicate the evil that has grown unchecked within the Empire. One witch at a time.

The Warrior (Andra Goddess of War)
The Queen of the Gods in the land of Gaulian. Her people have been conquered by the Eldish Empire, and her chosen line of Kings eradicated. She seeks the destruction of the Eldish Empire and vengeance against those that played a part in her peoples slaughter.
Andra is one of the gods that were made.

Bet (Goddess of Sorcery)
The Ancient Goddess of Sorcery, she was exiled from Ardinium when the All-Father was crowned the God Supreme. In hiding for two hundred years, she protects the sorcerers the Eldish Empire would see eradicated.

Nadi (Nadhezda Molinov)
A Sorceress from the land of Thoravina. She grew up in the same village as Lena, but her life took a different path. She dwells in the hidden city of Ruen, and serves the Goddess of Sorcery.

Jenny (Lady Jenny Hastley)
The youngest daughter of Baron John Hastley, Jenny’s sorcery forced her to flee her home. She was rescued by Abe and brought to Ruen where she learnt to use her gift in the safety of the Goddesses protection.
